Introducing Mauritius

Supposed to be a "paradise island", Mauritius has an area of about 2,040 km². It is found in the Indian Ocean, east of Madagascar.

The Republic of Mauritius includes other (smaller) islands like Rodrigues, Agalega, St Brandon etc.



The Dodo, now extinct, was a unique bird, found only in Mauritius.
